"A true paradise retreat contrasting the hub bub of 21st century western living. The hotel and its rose garden grounds are all beautiful and continuously maintained by the staff. The staff are like a team always smiling and willing to help. There is an under used luxurious spa where we had massages and beauty treatments at reasonable prices. Hamams and massages all carried out by local staff. Nothing conveyor belt or that packaged feel you sometimes get in top class hotels.
The food was local and plentiful, perhaps could become repetitive for the long stayer. We were there for 10 nights, along side mostly French guests who generally stayed 2/3 nights.
The owner Nebil was most gracious and unassuming as a host but embraced our every need. We had fresh fruit brought to the room, he even became our mountain guide one morning but most of all he became our friend. Thanks Nebil.
If you want peace, mountain walks, local food and beautiful surroundings, then this is the place for you. Worth upgrading to a suite, huge rooms all individually designed ours backed on to the river and had an 8 feet wide bed!"

"La Roseraie is a seriously excellent place for a stay if one likes beauty, the natural world, tranquility and great hospitality. The hotel accommodation is well planned and rooms are spread out over the grounds so that guests have privacy and their own space. The bar, pool and restaurant areas are attractive and encourage both good company and solitude - depending on one's preferences. The staff are terrific and will always try to predict what one needs. Food is good and drinks not too expensive.
One might get all of this at quite a few hotels in Morocco but La Roseraie trumps them all with the magnificent gardens and acres of colourful meadow, woodland and hillside. The place is quite simply stunningly beautiful in April ( when I went ) and full of resident and migrating birds. If you have an interest in wildlife then you need to go no further - this place has it all; birds, butterflies, amphibians and reptiles ( e.g. Tortoise and Chameleon ). Special mention use go to the rose gardens - are there any better in England ?
The location of the hotel makes it a good base for trips to the various sites ( e.g. Tin Mel ) and the mountain passes. There are many roads and tracks to explore at leisure either on foot or by car. Alternatively just hang out by one of the three pools and relax. Nabil, the host, takes particular care to meet and talk with all his guests and is a mine of information and advice. By the way, if you like photography this a great location and you will never tire of exploring the immediate area."

Situated close to the traditional small Berber village of Ouirgane, La Roseraie is well situated to access, by car, some of the best trekking in the Atlas Mountains. Ouirgane is a beautiful sleepy village with large weekly market and a traditional Moroccan atmosphere throughout. A close drive to some stunning lakes and valleys.
