Desert Tours in Morocco or desert excursions in Morocco
A desert tour from Marrakesh involves a pick up from your riad in Marrakesh, a 4 hour drive to Ouarzazarte or a nearby stay at Les Tourmalines, Kasbah Ellouze, or Les Jardins de Skoura (usually available through www.hipmorocco.com), A night in the desert or longer if preferred, and then return to Marrakech with a long drive (2 nights away) or return to the same riad in Morocco.
Kasbahs in the Atlas Mountains
Through www.hipmorocco.com we are able to offer Kasbah Du Toubkal and Kasbah Bab Ourika. Kasbah du Toubkal is in the Atlas mountains. Kasbah du Toubkal is ~60km from Marrakech, and is situated at the foot of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. The Kasbah du Toubkal is an extraordinary venture, the product of an imaginative Berber and European partnership. For Berber cooking classes visit the Dar Tassa.
Riads in Essaouira
Essaouira is set on the Atlantic coastline. It is a picturesque village with a bustling harbour, colourful souks, fine fish restaurants, a nice medina, and a culture that lends back to the sixties. It is windy on the sea shore much of the time, which makes for a cool outdoors in summer and wind sports, and has managed to develop without losing any of its charm. Through www.hipmorocco.com, we have a selection of riads in Essaouira, including the Hotel Ocean Vagabond as well as villas just 20-30 min away on or near the beach such as the Rebali Riads and Riad Baoussala.
